Field Service Engineer Wellingborough, Northants

Field Service Engineer

Competitive Salary, Pension, Company Vehicle.

Due to Expansion Vermeer United Kingdom are seeking to recruit a capable time served field & workshop based service engineer at our dealership in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire to maintain our world leading industry preferred machines.

The ideal candidate will be experienced in the diagnostics and repair of EV based arborcare and forestry machinery, Utilities machines and Trenchless technologies or similar backgrounds.

Candidate will have a good background understanding in hydraulic, Electrical and Mechanical systems.

Duties to include workshop and field based repairs/services.
  • You will service, maintain and repair our customers machine, including general maintenance, service & warranty work.
  • You will follow safety process and ensure safe working practices at all times.
  • You will be responsible for: accurately completing service worksheets.
  • The role will involve working to a planned schedule of service and maintenance jobs at various client’s premises.
Our Expectations
  • You will have experience in mechanical engineering (service and maintenance)
  • A background in Arboriculture equipment (Woodchippers/Stump Cutters, Trenching machines) would be desirable although we would be happy to engage with applicants with proven mechanical skills who want to develop their knowledge
  • Basic electrical/hydraulic knowledge and ability to fault find would be a benefit.
  • You must have a full driving licence.
