Stump Grinders

Replacing the ever popular SC252,  the SC292 has a more powerful Kohler 26.5hp EFI petrol engine.  The ground

drive has been improved  too.  You can now switch between high and low ground speeds to move you around sites

faster and providing more control when grinding.  The SC292 comes with removable duel wheels giving greater

stability on tough terrains or when removed, more manoeuvrability in tight spaces.  Steering is via a jockey wheel

giving a very tight turning circle however the option of hydraulic steering is available as on option on the machine.

Autosweep comes as standard along with operator presence which stops the cutter wheel if the operator lets go of

the controls.

The SC362 has been developed to provide that extra power needed for large stumps.  It’s powered by a 35hp

Vanguard petrol engine and comes with dual wheels and autosweep as standard.  The drive belts are located on one

side of the machine for ease of maintenance.  It will cut 24″ above the ground and 15″ below ground.  The steering is

two hydraulically controlled steering wheels and a pivoting axle making it extremely manoeuvrable.  All Vermeer

stump grinders come with the Vermeer patented Yellow Jacket cutter system to provide ease of maintenance and

prolonged pocket and tooth life.

The SC40TX is the first stump grinder on the market with a ride-on platform to drive the machine, this feature gets the

operator from stump to stump faster.  it also has a swing out workstation when at the stump for extra stump visibility

and control.  A counter-rotating track undercarriage allows quick repositioning when grinding the stump.  The SC40TX

has plenty of power with a 40hp Tier 4 Final Kohler diesel engine.  It has a hydraulic ground drive and cutter system

meaning there are no belts or chains to maintain.  The grinding dimensions are 24″ above ground and 15″ below.  It is

fitted with 20 Vermeer patented Yellow Jacket teeth which are reversible.

The SC552 comes with a four wheel drive and differential lock.  With power and torque transferred to each of the

wheels the SC552 can manoeuvre around the toughest sites.  A unique four-bar linkage allows the cutter wheel to

move away from the machine as the boom drops down toward the stump reducing the needs to reposition the whole

unit.  The grinding dimensions are 31″ above the ground and 25″ below.  The remote control provides propel, boom

and steering function control.  Woodchips can easily be moved on site with the 34″ chip blade.  There is easy access

to all of the service points.
